War in the Marianas

War in the Marianas

                                                       American memorial park

The American memorial park is one of the most honorable parks on the island of Saipan. American memorial park is the park where the American people and the islanders from the past were buried, these people died during world war II during the Marianas campaign.

   Carolinian Utt

Carolinian Utt is a cultural place where the local people stayed before world war II. This Utt serves different types of uses before world war II, it was used to stay as a home, a place for a meeting hall, where visitors can stay, and it was also a place where a criminal must stay before they compensate for their doings. Those are the purposes of the Carolinian utt before the Japanese destroyed it during world war II

      Japanese Jail

Japanese Jail is a concrete place that was built under the Japanese administration during world war II, this jail happened to be enough place to hold criminals before, but because of the continuous growth of people, the jail later on become crowded to support other people's space, some U.S. pilots were also held here before. After the start of the war, the cell roof was replaced by security fences with concrete walls which produced the south of the jail a temple that had a crematorium, and a graveyard. The gatepost is still present up to this day.

Ina's Morning view

My Morning view this past few days.

Its been a while since heavy rain was pouring because of the storm. Every morning I woke up with a raindrop outside of my window, heavy rain is dangerous but I won't argue about the fact that the first thing I hear is the sound of the raindrops every morning is just calming and puts me in a good mood. I love rain I would say.

Right beside my bed...

In my room, the study table is just on the left of my bed where I always study. That is one of the views that I see every morning.

Laundry bag

My laundry basket is also in my room but near the door. Every morning I see this laundry bag that reminds me to do my laundry!

Cozy blankets

When I woke up every morning this is literally my first ever view every time I open my eyes first thing in the day. A cozy blanket, Soft pillow, and plushies are my morning view, maybe this is the reason why they always say it's hard to wake up every morning? well, I agree with them...

Hi Everyone!👋

I'm Savina Delgado, Ina most of the time!

I am an upcoming senior next school year. I was born and raised in the Capital of the Philippines, Manila, this is my first year here at Marianas high school where I met my friend.

I enjoy hanging out with my friend's company, going out and strolling around, buying food and drinks (especially strawberry waffles and milk tea), and taking pictures with my fit or things I think would be interesting to share with my friends. I would say the most memorable experience I have had while staying here on the island is watching sunsets. I love taking mirror shots, candid photos, and nature as my subject.

Growing up in a city with lots of buildings and infrastructure, watching the sunset and taking Polaroid pictures of nature here is the most beautiful hobby I would probably treasure.

Nice to meet each and every one of you!

I hope we have fun and learn much about this subject from its history to taking a beautiful memory!
